Emergency health and nutrition response project in Badakhshan and Nooristan provinces
YHDO enabled the following activities:
• Establishment of 5 sub health centers in white areas of the 2 provinces
• Enabling referral system through 8 ambulances (5 cars in white areas and 3 for existing BHCs supported)
• Support to 3 existing BHCs (2 in Badakhshan and 1 in Nooristan)
• Support to 4 existing CHCs (3 in Badakhshan and 1 in Nooristan)
• Counselling on feeding best practices and establishment of breastfeeding corners in the health facilities (12)
Nooristan, the 3 districts targeted : Paroon, Noor Gram and Wama.
Badakhshan, the 5 districts targeted : Yaftal-e-Sufla, Arghanjkhwa, Zebak, Teshkan and Keshem.
